Arrange a funeral
Arranging a funeral can be a difficult process emotionally, we have put together a few key details below to help guide you through the process.
Although not a requirement, we do recommend using a local Funeral Director to arrange a funeral service at Clayton Wood. The Funeral Director will arrange all your wishes with us, and we will ensure your ceremony is seamless.
You do not need to use a specific Funeral Director, but we ask that specific types of coffins and caskets be used. As a natural burial ground, cremated remains need to be either interred loose or in one of our supplied cardboard boxes (9″ length x 6″ width x 6″ height) or biodegradable caskets (up to 9″ length x 9″ width x 9″ height). This means we minimise the impact on the local eco-system. You can also scatter cremated remains at Clayton Wood at one our dedicated scattering lawns. Please contact the Clayton Wood team directly to arrange this service.
If you are looking to the future, we do offer the ability to pre-purchase a plot, and you can do this by contacting us and we can speak with you directly.
